Sabrina Johnson says that she is having a very difficult time with a local business trying to get 2 headstones delivered to a local cemetery. Johnson said that she has waited long enough and that she believes that the headstones should have been delivered a long time ago. Johnson said that she bought the two headstones back in Dec. 2020, but was told by the owner that because of Covid concerns, the delivery of the headstones would take some extra time. As the nation was consumed by the pandemic that would kill thousands in 2021, Johnson said that she understood about the time constraints. Thinking that it would take only a short while for the headstones to be delivered, Johnson waited and waited. After not hearing from Martin Marble and Granite Works in Monroe LA where she said she purchased the headstones, Johnson said she spoke again to the owner in Feb. 2021, where she was told that the headstones should be delivered in April 2021. Johnson said that she called the business in April and was told that she "would have to wait another couple of weeks". Johnson would eventually call Richwood Cemetery to inquire if any headstones had been delivered, as Johnson said that she paid $1,300 for the headstones. By now, Johnson became frustrated with the delays and excuses that she got every time she wanted to know the status of her order.

Johnson said that when she did ask about the delay, she asked for a tracking number so she could know if the headstones were slated to be delivered anytime soon. She said that the owner allegedly couldn't produce the requisition order, as all that Johnson had was her receipt as payment for the headstones. The last time she said that she talked to the owner was recently in January 20222 of this year and found out that the business allegedly wasn't affiliated with the local Better Business Bureau, which made her uncomfortable. Johnson said that any correspondence done between her and the business, was initiated by her. Johnson also said that the owner allegedly became "agitated" with her because she felt that Johnson "was getting an attitude" from her repeated attempts to get what she had long paid for after waiting and being told the same excuse. In the meantime, Johnson said that she is hoping that her situation is resolved soon, as this was the first time that she bought headstones and wasn't expecting to have any difficulty. Johnson also believes that waiting for over a year to get something that she paid for is a long time and that it is time for the headstones to be placed where they were intended to be. Johnson has reported the business to the Better Business Bureau and is expecting a reply.
