E'Tavia Y. Davis

E'Tavia Yvette Davis was born on November 13, 2000 to Charlon Y. Brown and Eddie J. Davis Jr. in Monroe LA . She was baptized at an early Age at St. Joe Baptist Church by Pastor Rueben L Oliver. E'Tavia attended Lincoln Elementary , Ouachita Jr. High and Ouachita Parish High Schools. At Lincoln, E'Tavia was a member of the Lincoln Jewel Dance Team while holding the title of Miss Lincoln for three years. In her early teen years, E'Tavia was a member of the the Ouachita Jr. High Track Team while starting to begin her fashion career. She always kept herself busy doing the summer attemdomg acting classes at the Strauss Youth Academy. E'Tavia was an inspiring pianist having self-taught herself to play. At Ouachita High School, E'Tavia she maintained a 4.0 g.p.a., was a Ouachita Dandylion, for three years, a track and field star, participated in choir and was on the homecoming court as Miss Senior Maid. E'tavia went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday February 9, 2022. Left to cherish her remarkable memories are her amazing parents Charlon Brown-Perkins & Jeremy C. Perkins, father Eddie J. Davis Jr, siblings Etasia Davis Bryant(Demetria Bryant), Eddie J. Davis lll, Ethan A. Davis, Brooklyn Davis, Cartavious Davis, Jayda Davis, Jayden Davis, Emmaunel Williams, E'Jayseon Perkins, Jer'Lena Reuben, Cash Perkins, Grandmother Vera Brown, grandfather Eddie J. Davis Sr. , great grandparents William and Rosie Horne and a host of family and friends. A Monroe woman is dead, as law enforcement authorities in Lincoln Parish continue their investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death. Ruston Police responded to a call at the North Village Apts. in the 2300 block of Timberland court last Wednesday February 9, 2022. When officers arrived, they were met by 21-year-old Dekeisha Johnson. Johnson would direct officers to 21-year-old Etavia Yvette Davis of Monroe LA, who according to police was lying in an unresponsive state when officers arrived. Davis was allegedly given initial treatment at the scene, but , would end being transported to Northeast Louisiana Medical Center. She would soon die after arrival at the medical facility. Officers then turned their attention to Johnson and questioned the individual concerning Davis' death. After questioning Davis, and securing an arrest warrant, police made the decision to place Johnson under arrest in the death of Davis. A motive, as of press time, has not been established by Ruston authorities, as the investigation continues. Johnson is charged with Second Degree Murder and is being held at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center. Funeral services are Saturday February 19, 2022 at 2pm at Bethel Churh of God in Christ in Monroe LA. Visitation is Friday February 18, from 6-7:30 pm at Smith Funeral Home in Monroe LA. Smith Funeral Home. Burial: Richwood Memorial Gardens, Richwood, LA under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
