There are always variations to the game (of life), but the rules are almost always the same. It is up to you to know and understand when the rules change and make the necessary adjustments. Lately, there has been a rash of reported and unreported robberies in the hood. Many are warning family and friends to be on guard and avoid going out at night altogether. According to police reports, on Sunday, February 6, 2022, police were summoned to a robbery around 3:00 AM on 7th Street in south Monroe. A witness shared that a male was in front of the residence and came closer. The suspect then fired a firearm in the direction of the police then ran into a residence. Luckily all occupants of the residence were isolated away from danger while police surrounded the home. Police found clues, and witnesses identified suspect Ky'Mario Coleman, 19, with the robbery and shooting finding a weapon at the scene. Coleman was arrested and charged with Armed Robbery and two counts of First-degree murder. There are three sides to every story. This was one side of this story.
