We will always praise God for the late Irma DeTiege, who created a pathway for herself and others during a time when Blacks had nothing but themselves. She loved education, especially at Mezpat Baptist Church Riverton LA, where school was taught by the late Mrs. Maude Tucker Eddy. She taught Irma and all the brothers and sisters to dream and think big. Mrs. Eddy told students that there is a bigger world than just their farm and plantation.
