Is this how we're going to have to live? Is there any place safe? According to police reports, a fight broke out at a Neville High School basketball game in Monroe, LA, on Friday, January 14, 2022. The fight occurred in the gym foyer, where almost 30 people attempted to settle a dispute between two gangs. The fight got extremely violent, and soon, one suspect, Montrelle Jones, 20, pulled out a handgun. He was quickly subdued by police officers and placed in handcuffs while officers retrieved a firearm. Officers also broke up a fight with Terry Davis, 18, and Antonio Hollins, 19. Both suspects were arrested. Sources alleged a beef between two gangs from 2020 at Parkview Apartments caused the uproar. Suspect Montrelle Jones was arrested and charged with criminal conspiracy, disturbing the peace, illegal weapons carry, carrying a firearm on school property, and violation of protective order. Suspect Terry Davis was arrested and charged with disturbing the peace and criminal conspiracy. Suspect Antonio Hollins was arrested and charged with disturbing the peace.
