As the new year commences with varied new beginnings, Monroe native, Shannon Cloman, has been newly elected as president of the National Alumni Association of Alabama State University, Montgomery, AL. Having attended and graduated from the university, Shannon was actively engaged in many activities and organizations. Upon graduating from ASU, he became an active member of the alumni association and currently recruits and aids students from U.S. high schools with scholarship opportunities and other university offerings.
