Hearts are saddened as a fatal vehicle accident on I-20 in West Monroe, LA claimed the life of Kenneth Mansfield on Friday, December 17, 2021. Kenneth Dwayne Mansfield was born January 26, 1964 in Monroe, LA to the late Frank Mansfield Sr. and Vera L. George Mansfield. Kenneth accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of the King Ollie Missionary Baptist Church in Monroe, LA under the leadership of Rev. SLV Johnson, the late Rev. J.L. Cotton and Reverend J.L. Perry Sr. Kenneth was fondly known as "Book" "Gator" and "Renegade." Kenneth was a member of the Carroll High School Class of 1982. While in high school Kenneth played the tuba in the band. After graduation Kenneth worked for the city of Monroe. After leaving the city, Kenneth worked various jobs throughout the city and the state. Kenneth was known for his big heart for helping in whatever capacity needed. Kenneth was often found helping care for his Uncle Pete Mansfield when necessary. Funeral services are Monday, December 27, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Greater Free Gift Baptist Church in Monroe, LA.
