Janecia Walker was the victim of a fatal hit and run accident which allegedly happened on Monday, December 6, 2021 after she was last seen walking from Sonic on US Hwy 165 North to Zaxby's back to work after visiting a friend. Jenecia was found by her brother and others who searched for her after finding out she was missing. The search found Janecia lying face down in the median on Hwy 165 North. She had been struck by a hit and run driver. She was rushed to the hospital where she later died shortly afterward from her injuries. Janecia was a recent Wossman High School graduate. She was a 2-time District 2-3A first team shortstop and a pitcher for the Wossman softball team. She was one of three Lady Wildcat softball players to receive multiple softball scholarships.
