In order to be loved, you have to show love. Once one is loved the right way, love can propel efforts and dreams into beautiful fruition. The absence of love can ignite frustration and chaos. Some would presume acts of violence happen when love is not fulfilled. According to police reports, deputies responded to shots fired on September 12, 2021, followed by a disturbance on Dellwood Dr. in Monroe, LA. Law enforcement gathered the suspects on Dellwood Dr., and south 8th St. Multiple investigations found that suspects Dominique Anderson and Quocharika Cobbs, who were passengers in another vehicle, allegedly stepped out of a vehicle and struck another vehicle with an iron tool. The strike caused the vehicle's front windshield to shatter the glass on the car's occupants which included adults and infant children. Witnesses alleged that Anderson sprayed pepper spray, making it difficult for those trapped in the car to catch their breath. Suspect Anderson was arrested but denied the altercation, breaking glass, and using pepper spray. Suspect Cobbs hit the vehicle with an iron tool, shattering the glass and causing injury to the passengers, including a pregnant juvenile female, but returned to her vehicle and fled the scene. Suspect Anderson was arrested and charged with aggravated criminal property damage and simple assault. Suspect Cobbs was arrested and charged with aggravated criminal property damage. There are three sides to every story. This was one side of this story. The Monroe Dispatch welcomes another or the other side of this story.
