Joseph Zinnerman

There are times in life when things can happen to us while we are just minding our own business. You don't have to go looking for trouble anymore, because if you are at the "wrong place" at a certain time, it could find you. If one should find themselves in a situation where things are getting out of control, the old school gang would say to get away or leave. In today's climate, we seem to be drawn to where trouble is happening, even if we are not involved. A local woman suffered a gunshot wound when she was in a crowd where a fight erupted between two individuals, and one of them produced a gun. According to police reports, the fight occurred in 700 block of South 10th Street on September 4, as suspected shooter Joseph Zinnerman fired at two individuals and missed. An unidentified female was hit by a stray bullet and had to be taken to a local hospital. Police said that Zinnerman intended to shoot the individuals with whom he was involved in the fight. According to police reports, the female victim did not suffer any life-threatening injuries after she was hit. Police are looking to apprehend Zinnerman, as he is charged with attempted second-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a felon. Monroe PD urges the public to contact them if they know of Zinnerman's whereabouts by calling 318-329-2600 or Crimestoppers at 318-388-CASH (2274). Zinnerman is considered armed and dangerous, and extreme caution is advised.
