The road home begins with uncertainty, and the end, in some instances, happens without notice or warning. What started as a typical summer day ended with uncertainty and fear. To err is human and to forgive is divine! According to reports, police responded to a tragedy in the foster homes on Barrington St. in Monroe, LA, Tuesday, August 10, 2021. When police arrived, a female victim, Jamonese "JJ' Hudson, was found inside the residence with a gunshot wound in the neck area. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after that. Suspect Dashone Thomas was in the home with a semi-automatic pistol showing the victim the gun when it accidentally fired, striking the victim. The suspect confessed to having the pistol and gave an account of when the gun fired after she removed the magazine. Thomas did not realize that a bullet was still in the gun until after it fired, fatally killing the victim. She was arrested and charged with negligent homicide. Please pray hard for both the Hudson and Thomas families. There are three sides to every story. This was one side of the story. The Monroe Dispatch welcomes another or the other side of this story.
