April 20, 1950 ~ August 1, 2021

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. - 2 Timothy 4:7

Our angel, Amy Lois Douzart Allen, 71, was born April 20, 1950 in Rayville, LA. She was the fifth child of nine, born to the late Eddie James Douzart and Hester Warren Douzart. Amy received her formal education at Carroll High School where she was a proud member of the graduating class of 1969. Amy realized that the Lord was the head of her life, accepted Christ as her Lord and savior, and became a faithful member of Allen Chapel AME Church in Monroe, LA.

He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord. - Proverbs 18:22

On October 1, 1973 in Norfolk, Virginia, Amy joined heart and hands with her soulmate, Lt. JG Willie L. Allen and to this union three jewels were born, Felicia, Arlicia, and William Trent. Amy transitioned to her heavenly home on Sunday, August 1, 2021 at her residence. She gained her wings so don't be sad; she will always love you all. Waiting with arms wide open to meet her in Glory were her parents Eddie and Hester, and two sisters, Bobbie Williams and Gloria Hollingsworth. Amy leaves her precious memories with her devoted husband, retired Commander Willie Allen; two daughters and a son-in-law - Felicia Allen Bass (Eric) of Hattiesburg, MS and Arlicia Allen Scott (Anthony); a son - William Trent (Nicki) of Monroe, LA; seven granddaughters - Jacinda, Alyssa, Jada, Ja'licia, Janae, Carlee, and Chloe Allen; one great granddaughter - Lyric; three brothers - Eddie J. Douzart Sr. (Tina), Reverend Ambrose E. Douzart (Donna) both of Monroe, LA, and Robert L. Douzart (Sandra) of Tusla, OK; three sisters - Linda D. Williams (Roy), Reverend Joyce D. Wade (Bernard), and Sharon Douzart (Ivory) all of Monroe, LA. One brother-in-law - Willie Hollingsworth; special friends - Marion Lowens, Joycelyn Encalade, Lillie Horne, and Kathy Sampson; one Goddaughter - Sharon Robinson; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
