"A Day in The Son"

The Gloria Chorus will host its 2021 Summer Cantata "A Day In The Son" Saturday, Aug. 7 at 6 pm at Bethel Baptist Church, 200 S. 22nd St., Monroe. LA featuring choral and gospel selections by chorus founder/director Tawanna James. The event will feature special guest Mr. Ricky Davis of Arcadia, LA, "The Northeast Louisiana Gospel Music Man and Historian". Admission is free; masks are required; social distancing will be practiced. See you there!

Between Saturday, July 17, and Friday, July 23, 2021, the Gun Violence Archive tracked at least 915 shooting incidents -- or, a shooting every 12 minutes -- that left at least 430 people dead and 1,007 wounded.

One Nation Under Guns
