Pastor Ronald Hunter Sr. Sunrise: November 22, 1945, Passaic NJ, Sunset: June 20, 2021 Monroe LA- Pastor Ronald Hunter Sr. parents were Rev. Theodore Marshall Carter and Theodoshia Hunter. To this union six children were raised and reared. Pastor Hunter graduated from high school in New Jersey in 1964. He received his certificate of licensing November 16, 1985 at Friendship Baptist Church in New Jersey. Pastor Hunter was ordained to the ministry on November 16, 1965 at Sunlight Baptist Church by R.O. Wlson while beginning his ministry in New Jersey, New Salem Missionary Baptist Church in West Monroe LA and Glorious Hope Baptist Church in Monroe LA. He was employed and retired from Graphic Packaging in 2017. Pastor Hunter met the love of his life JoAnn "Precious" Jordan Hunter jumping the broom in 1982. Preceding Pastor Hunter in death was his brother Butch Hunter, son Kevin Campbell, and daughter Marie Hunter. To Their union eight children were born. Left to cherish memories are wife JoAnn "Precious" Jordan Hunter, children Thomas Campbell (Debra), Conrad Campbell (Leola aka Faye), Tyrone Campbell, Angela Jordan, Joseph Jordan, Ronald Hunter ll, Valerie Hunter, Siblings Margaret Kirkland, Paul Hunter and Eugene Hunter, 23 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 5 God children and a host of family and friends. Visitation is Friday July 2, from 5 to 8pm at Greater New Antioch Baptist Church 301 Sherrouse Ave. Monroe LA. Funeral Services are Saturday July 3, 2021 at 11am at Greater New Antioch Baptist Church. Services under the direction of McFarland Funeral Company of Monroe LA.
