We are blessed to have Juneteenth Day recognized as a federal holiday. Remembering when Blacks were in slavery for three years after they had been freed needed to be recognized, and told. To be kept under hard taskmaster for three years after being liberated shows Texas' lack of value of black lives . The abuse, violating of human rights, working without pay, shows Texas' desire to remain a slave state.
