The Monroe Housing Authority is dedicated to help bring back Louisiana, as the organization announces fourteen (14) of its housing communities will host FREE Covid-19 vaccination events between June 23rd and July 2nd. "The safety and health of MHA residents is our number one priority. That is why we are partnering with the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development, Louisiana Department of Health, and Louisiana National Guard for the Sleeves Up Bring Back Louisiana effort. By bringing this initiative directly to our housing communities, we are removing barriers and health disparities that would prevent many from getting their Covid-19 vaccination." says MHA Executive Director William V. Smart. Beginning June 23rd through July 2nd, from 2pm until 6pm, at each site, the Louisiana National Guard will administer the Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer vaccines to Monroe Housing Authority residents. There will be door prizes and refreshments at each event. June 25, 2021, Breece/Lock Place 306 Winnsboro Rd. Monroe LA-Preservation Mills South 3rd & South 4th Streets.
