Teen Mother's Dreadful Act

April 22, 2021

No matter one's race, gender, or age, we all have the same shared experience of coming into life as babies. As a baby, one is dependent on parent(s) or caretakers, someone to nurture, love, feed, clothe, and provide shelter. A baby is helpless, dependent on parents, grandparents, or foster parents for their well-being. According to police reports on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, in West Monroe, LA, a teen mother tried to kill her two-month-old baby. The teen told police she attempted to choke the baby before officers arrived, giving care to the baby. West Monroe Fire Department arrived after receiving a call to Pine Street. The police charged the teen mother with first-degree murder. The teen was booked into Green Oaks Detention Center. The infant was hospitalized and taken by Child Protective Services. There are three sides to every story. This was one side of this story. The Monroe Dispatch welcomes another or the other side of this story.
