Monroe Dispatch - No Struggle, No Progress

This is a ceremony to bless the hands of Healthcare workers for their work of serving the community through their profession recently at Ochsner/LSU Health Shreveport Monroe Medical Center in Monroe LA. This is also a time and opportunity for healthcare workers to exhale and turn their heaviness, anxiety and personal concerns over to God as we pray and anoint their hands. Each person in the hospital and each profession is important and St. Paul United Methodist Church Monroe LA makes known the blessing of the administration, doctors, nursing staff, and entire support staff. Each hospital entity brings unique gifts to the task of providing healing for the patients they serve. This idea was presented to Chaplain Patton six years ago and St. Paul United Methodist Church established this partnership and have conducted this ceremony each year. We ask: Lord Bless these hospital hands that have blessed so many.
