Monroe Shootings too Frequent

Family members are grieving as a family member left home Sunday while never returning home. What was rare occurrences, gun violence has turned to families' nightmares. Black, brown and poor families are suffering at an alarming rate only to receive few answers to numerous questions. Some families' calls are going unanswered to those investigating shooting crimes. There are so many now that the question is there enough law enforcement to handle the survivors of violence questions. According to police reports two suspect have been arrested in a Monday April 5, 2021 Morning Shooting around 2:30 am in the 1600 block of Crescent Dr. Officers found Victim Rakeen Newell dead from several gunshot wounds dying after arriving at the hospital. Suspects Antonio Hollins and Antavian T. Rucks have been arrested and charged with second degree murder. Many times there are so many question with the greatest one asked every time Why? There are three sides to every story. This was one side of this story. The Monroe Dispatch welcomes another or other side of this story.
