Lies and Deceit - Legally

Local resident Darlene Caesar continued her quest, a hard one by anyone’s standards, to the right a wrong that she is convinced was done to her by certain family members. Caesar knows that the only way to get justice for herself and that of her deceased parents is to go through the legal process. That journey has had obstacles placed in front of her, and she has suffered several setbacks. Despite that, she knows that she is not alone, and she wants to enlist the aid of those who may have gone through similar circumstances. Caesar has a series of questions and would like to know what others have done and what results came from said efforts. What has been done or can be done “legally” is the question to the situations listed below. This is her continuing story. A family member calls a hospice nurse stating that your father is having a stroke, but the nurse can’t confirm that he had a stroke.

The caregiver that had Power of Attorney (POA), was not informed of a stroke, as family members said the nurse didn’t know what she was doing.

A 9-1-1 call was made and a family member has your father, who has Alzheimer's, admitted to a medical facility also without informing the POA.

At the medical facility, the elderly is allegedly having a stroke, but somehow he can answer questions for himself. The elderly family member was allegedly treated for a stroke, but again, the hospice nurse caring for the elderly stated that it was not a stroke. The medical facility allegedly refuses to let the caregiver/POA make decisions for the elderly patient. The medical facility allegedly acted upon an alleged anonymous caller on the phone to have the elderly family member admitted. The medical facility allegedly refused to acknowledge legal documents that were faxed, stating the legal POA over the elderly who was said to have suffered a stroke by a family member, but not by a trained hospice nurse. The medical facility allegedly administrated “numerous” excessive tests and lab work without permission. As Monroe Dispatch readers can see, Caesar has a complicated matter before her, but she wants the situation concerning her father to be handled the legal way, the right way. Caesar is seeking a legal solution to her situation because she is convinced that for her responsibilities as POA to be taken away from her and not be recognized at the alleged medical facility, the family who allegedly orchestrated the takeover must have enlisted the aid of an attorney without her knowledge. How else could the medical facility personnel allegedly refuse to acknowledge Caesar as the lawfully/legal representative of her father through her POA? Caesar hopes that someone who may have an answer or can lead her to someone who does indeed has the answers because she is convinced that there have been many lies said and deceit done to her.
