Whenever you go to take a test for a certification or graduate level education there is a test that you need to pass in order to prove you have what it takes to move to the next level of success. When you enter the testing facility, you walk into a cold, bland space made up of a waiting area and testing room, which features a line of cubicle computer stations. You cannot carry any personal belongings in the testing room and must present an government issued ID. The entire time you are there cameras follow your every move, to maintain that testing is completed honorably. You are even provided with special scratch paper to ensure everything is done systematically. Sometimes we are left in life with a test in which we cannot carry notes. We can’t us a cell phone, device, or any other aid that would make the challenge easier. All we can do is rely on the education that we have gained, and come up with the best possible solution or answer we can based on previous experience and acquired knowledge. Tests are good because they give us fair review of where we are in life. We may fail or succeed, but the true point in the challenge is to assess where we are and if we are capable of using the knowledge that we have where we stand to tackle certain periods in our lives. Are you preparing yourself for challenges that you may face in the future? Are you putting yourself in a position to always gain useful knowledge, that you will be able to use? As you continue throughout the rest of this month think about how you use the things you’ve experienced or learned to get you to another level or pass another test.
