Dwight Brown skinned one of three racoons (coons) that he and his friends hunted and killed.

It was a sight you might have seen if you were born in the country back in days gone by. Avid hunters understand the game of hunting raccoons(coons), rabbits, squirrels, possums, and many other animals. Long before the grocery store, people hunted for food when there were no grocery stores or money. Dwight Brown was getting a coon ready to eat by skinning and getting the coon prepared to be cooked. This coon was smoked and eaten up quickly. Those devouring it were disappointed with their portion since this was the smallest of the three coons. At this year's Superbowl parties, the coon was the first of the foods to be eaten. According to Jerry Davis, Bobby Goins, and Samuel Byrd, there's no better eating than a coon either gravied or barbequed!
