She was United in Holy matrimony to Eddie James Douzart Sr January 20, 1940 after 69 years of marriage her beloved husband Eddie transitioned December 31, 2009. Together they reared 9 children. Mother Hester became a member of Popular AME Church in Rayville LA at an early age of 13. She served in many church ministries.
