Sister Everliner Carroll

Everliner Carroll 97, was born to the union of Ance and Mary McLaurin on July 4, 1923 in Collins MS. On Sunday January 24, 2021, after 97 years of life and Christian service, the Lord God, Our Father called her name and Sister Everliner answered departing from earthly labor to her eternal reward. She was widely and affectionately known as "Madea." Everliner accepted Christ at an early age at Progressive Baptist Church. She would later unite with the Zion Traveler Baptist Church where she remained until her transition into glory. While at Zion Traveler, Everliner dedicated herself to the work of the ministry. She served faithfully as usher president, treasurer, co-chair of the men's and women's day auxiliary. Everliner was a true believer in the Lord Almighty. Outside of church, she served as a city-wide usher and was a dedicated member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters Mary Brown and Jacqueline Smith, one son-in-law Albert Brown and grandson Willie Carroll Jr. To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven: A time to be born and a time to die; a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted; a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to break down and a time to build up; a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance. Ecclesiastes: 3 1-4. Funeral services are Saturday January 30, 2021, 2pm Greater Free Gift Baptist Church.
