Blanche Luretta Goston Rodgers was born April 4, 1935 to the late Johnny and Lillian Goston in Monroe, LA. Blanche accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age at Gaines Chapel Baptist Church, Rev H.S. Staten, pastor. She was converted to Catholicism at Little Flower Church in Monroe. She attended Bryant Addition School, Monroe Colored High, and graduated from Carroll High School. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Grambling State University.
