Johnny Natt

On Saturday, December 13, 2014, the town of Mangham, LA celebrated the election of its first Black mayor-elect, Johnny L. Natt. Natt was a native of Mangham. He was the eldest of six siblings. Natt was a husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He was the assistant principal and coach at Lee Jr. High in Monroe, LA. He was a faithful member of St. Matthew Baptist Church in Mangham, LA, where he was the Sunday School superintendent and a deacon. Natt received a B.S. degree from Grambling State University and his master's degree from Northeast Louisiana University. He was a man that people could depend on, was very faithful, and loved working with the youth. He loved his hometown Mangham. His coworkers talked about how dependable he was and how he loved and helped his students. According to his wife, Natt was a good man, provider, and great father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his mother and a son. Natt went home to be with the Lord Monday, December 14, 2020 due to COVID-19. He will be deeply missed. Services will be announced from the funeral home. Please remember his family in prayer.
