Monroe Dispatch - No Struggle, No Progress

As a lifelong resident of Bryant’s Addition except for 8 years in Louisville, KY, in my conversation with those in the South Monroe community there are concerns about the lack of Economic Development and attracting businesses to the South Second Street and Winnsboro Rd corridors in Monroe LA. However, after speaking to several residents with special needs Winnsboro Rd. is in dire need of a sidewalk and lighting project, ASAP. So many of South Monroe residents are traveling whether it’s to the Dollar General, Mac’s Fresh Market or any of the convenience stores in motorized wheelchairs...
