Voter Registration/Census/Candidate Forum

The Jackson Parish Branch NAACP #6309 has an on-going Voter Registration Drive for Jackson Parish residents. If you register to vote for the first time with the proper ID, you can receive a free hair cut or braids for the men or a free wash or braids for the women from now until Sept. 30. We will come to you to register. Vouchers will be given to those registering for the first time and you must make your own appointment with the barber or beautician participating. Partnering with the Jackson Parish Branch NAACP are Bakers’ Barber Shop, Bonita’s Beauty Shop, P-Dezzy Tight Cutz and Braids by Lex. Please register to Vote. The Jackson Parish Branch NAACP #6309 encourages every person to complete the Census. there are three ways to complete the Census: (1) Go online to http://www.my2020census.gov; (2) call 1-800-923-8282 and (3) mail to Census Bureau, Jeffersonville, IN, or Phoenix, AZ. Last day for Census is September 30, 2020. The purpose of the forum is to give Bienville, Jackson, and Claiborne parishes voters an opportunity to hear their candidates discuss the issues of importance to them in this November 3rd election. This event is a forum and not a debate.
