Follow me to the Oasis: I was a Police juror for over ten years and one of the prevailing complaints I would always hear was: "There is nothing good happening on the Southside of town". People would speak so disparagingly about Southeast Ouachita always referring to the high crime rate, the poverty, the penal systems located there, the trash...on and on and on.
