The road to prosperity is the most difficult traveled especially without training or guidance. The easy way out is filled with grief and strife. There is and will never be something for nothing. Its hard to beat your way through especially for people of color and the poor. According to police reports, police responded to an armed robbery on Ludwig Ave. in West Monroe LA. Witness told police two suspects robbed a victim with a handgun while one suspect waited in a vehicle. The victim was robbed by two suspects of a $246 dollar money order and $120 dollars cash. The victim identified the Suspect as Detric Taton who also struck the victim in the face with a gun breaking his dentures. The suspect was identified by his clothing by witnesses and the victim. The suspect was caught by police in the suspect vehicle possessing the victim's wallet. Driver Amaree Lang was seen with Suspect Talton and another suspect following the armed robbery. Lang was read Miranda rights and interviewed about robbery. After several variations of the story told to police, Lang identified Talton and Cameron Elmore to be inside his vehicle and driven to the area of the robbery. When Suspect Talton was stopped by police, he left his vehicle and fled on foot from police. Talton was arrested and charged with armed robbery and aggravated flight. There are three sides to every story. This was one side of this story. The Monroe Dispatch welcomes another or the other side of this story.
