Cutting Up

It's one thing to love and another thing to cut the one you say you love. It may be a different type of love, one which only the parties involved understand. The one unfortunate thing about love is that feelings and situations can change with time without any warning or reservation. What's known is that two women stabbed two men on the same day in two completely different incidents. According to police reports, on Monday September 7, police officers were called to Motel 6 East in reference to a stabbing. Investigations reveal suspect Alisha Hudson stabbed her current boyfriend in the chest area around the left shoulder with a sharp object, leaving blood everywhere. Hudson was arrested and charged with aggravated second degree battery. In another incident not related according to police reports, officers were dispatched to 2401 Washington St. concerning a stabbing complaint. Police then made contact with suspect Freda Peevy, and found a folding knife and marijuana in her purse. After talking with the victim, police discovered the victim and suspect had been dating for three years and recently moving in together since July 2020. The suspect and victim had a verbal argument when Peevy grabbed a small knife, then a larger kitchen knife, cutting the victim's upper lip. Both crimes occurred in Monroe, LA. Suspect Peevy was arrested and charged with aggravated battery and possession of CDS-1. There are three sides to every story. This was one side of this story. The Monroe Dispatch welcomes the other or another side of this story.
