Monroe Dispatch - No Struggle, No Progress

Some of the worst things happen when electricity is lost is why many people suffer through the heat especially in this Louisiana Summer weather. Either Thursday or Friday August 27 or 28 when thieves cut a hole in the wall of the Super Save Convenience Store on Reddix Lane in Monroe LA taking everything in site except the stuff which was nailed down. Since all power was lost time wasn't a factor. Sources tell the Dispatch that on the Northside of town the police sat on certain streets which we would not confirm or deny. This was a heinous act and we wonder why others don't invest in our communities. There are very few stores in our communities, and none are owned by the people who live in the community.
