Ruby "Jean" Robinson's Life Celebration

Ruby Ardell Robinson

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." Proverbs 3: 5 - 6 On August 12, 1953, God blessed the union of the late Jim D. Moore and Maude Bell Moore with another precious girl, Ruby Ardell Robinson. Ruby, affectionately called "Jean", received her heavenly wings on Wednesday, July 22, 2020. She was the youngest of six siblings. Two of her siblings (Bishop Jim D. Moore and Leo Moore) preceded her in death. Ruby confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized at Rose of Sharon Baptist Church under the pastorate of the late Rev. J. B. Brown. In her growing up years in the church, she proudly served on the Junior Usher Board and was a member of the Red Dot Circle. She remained an active member of the church (participating in the Mission and For H.I.M. adult dance ministry) until her passing under the leadership of Rev. Dr. A. B. Davis-Johnson, Sr. Ruby was a graduate of Neville High School Class of 1971. She worked for over 20 years at South Central Bell until her retirement. After retirement, she also worked as a sales associate at Added Dimensions and Catherine's department stores. It was at these stores where she gained a sense of fashion and expanded her collection of all sorts of clothing. Fashion design was her true calling. She could run with the best of them when it came to coordination and style. Ruby also loved children and served as a babysitter to many. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the hearts of her three children: Fedrigo Andre' Moore (Baton Rouge, LA), Kimberly Moore (Fort Worth, TX) and Shantae Moore (Dallas, TX); four grandchildren: Cydnie Wright, Jasmine Brewster, Kymberlyn Moore and Jailyn Ingram; two great-grandchildren: Nathaniel and Faith; her siblings: Irma Black (Las Vegas, NV), Evelyn Gholston, Calvin Moore and Lois Hall (all of Monroe, LA); her nieces, nephews, godchildren, friends and other loved ones. Visitation will be held Friday, July 31, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Alice Mae Chapel of Miller Funeral Home. A "Celebration of Life" Service will be held Saturday, August 1, 2020, 11:30 a.m. also in the Alice Mae Chapel of Miller Funeral Home. Interment will be held in Richwood Memorial Gardens.*Pursuant to the Governor's Executive Order and mask mandate, all persons are reminded to wear a mask to enter the building and the capacity numbers will be strictly enforced.
