The book of James suggests two sources of wisdom. Source one - God, this is life – giving principle based in the word of God. This is a wisdom from above (James 3:17) which eliminates hypocrisy and partiality. It overcomes conflict and seeks to make peace. The results of wisdom from above is a harvest of righteousness. When God is the source of wisdom it results in a harvest of righteousness (James 3: 1 8). The second source of wisdom is the earth. This wisdom is focused on self.
