James H. Gray Foundation, Inc. 2020 Grant & Scholarship Recipients

 

With no regard for race, creed, color or ethnic origin, graduating high school students who plan to attend and enroll at a Historically Black College or University (HBCU) in the fall immediately following their graduation may apply. Students who enroll in Southern University and A & M College, the scholarship value is doubled. The James H. Gray Foundation Scholarship is funded by Patterson & Associates of Monroe, LLC. Steffen Lewis has been accepted into the University of Arkansas Medical School Nurse Anesthesia Program pursing an Anesthetists Degree. He is a 2014 Nursing graduate of Southern University-Baton Rouge. Stephen has been awarded the Mr. & Mrs. J. B. Patterson, Sr. Professional Education Grant from the James H. Gray Foundation, Inc. Graduating from Ouachita Parish High School with a 3.5 grade point average, Eriona Bowie will enrolled at Southern University-Baton Rouge this fall. She will be majoring in Nursing. Eriona is the daughter of Eric and Anona Bowie Sr. Victoria Rencher graduated from Ouachita Parish High School first in her class of 267 with a 4.0 grade point average. The Homecoming Queen and National Honor Society inductee is the daughter of Varner and Tracy Rencher. Victoria will be a Mechanical Engineering major at Southern University and A & M College-Baton Rouge. The son of Darrell and Antoinette Hoard, Jamal Hoard is an Ouachita Parish High School graduate and a member of the Lions football squad. Jamal will attend Grambling State University and major in Engineering Technology with a concentration in Construction. Malcolm Moore, being a 5-year starter at defensive end for West Monroe High School, graduating with a 3.6 grade point average and a 26 on the ACT, has decided to enroll at Jackson State University in the fall. He is the son to Anthony and Zuleika Moore. Malcolm will pursue a degree in Electrical Engineering at his mother's alma mater.
