Monroe Dispatch - No Struggle, No Progress

Harvey Houston 77 was an incredible guy. He was a man of action not just talk. He was one of the first black Ouachita Parish Sheriff Deputies who helped those after being arrested with simple advice. Harvey dressed well and was a remarkably successful businessman. He made sure his family was taken care of while owning all types of businesses. Harvey was quiet and a great guy who was an investor who made his ideas come true. He showed his kids the trail to become entrepreneurs while helping them created their own wealth. One of his children became a sports agent by carefully following his advice. Harvey died Wednesday June 24, 2020. His funeral service was incomplete and will be announced from Smith Funeral Home Monroe LA.
