"For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens." 2 Corinthians 5:1 On Saturday, June 20, 2020 our beloved angel Betty Taylor- Owens transitioned from her earthly home to now resting in the arms of her Heavenly Father. She was surrounded by her children and family at home. Betty Taylor-Owens was born to the union of the late Jimmy Taylor and Fannie Mae Turner Taylor on September 15, 1929 in Rayville, LA. She was the second child of nine siblings. Remembering her love; one sister, Fannie Mae Taylor, eight children; Robert Earl Handy, Barbara Washington, Laura Elmore, Leon Handy, Jr, Betty Jean Davidson, Brenda Handy Richard, Sharon Handy Hill, and Michael Handy. She was also blessed to have an abundance of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Proceeding her in death are two daughters, Freddie Scott and Stella Owens. The family wishes to announce the viewing of Betty Taylor- Owens will be Friday, June 26, 2020 from 1-6pm at Miller's Funeral Home 2932 Renwick Street Monroe, LA (Private) Funeral Service will be held for Betty Taylor-Owens Saturday, June 27, 2020 at 1:00pm Miller's Funeral Home Chapel 2932 Renwick Street Monroe, LA The family wishes to thank everyone for their continued prayers and support during this time.
