After experiencing multiple obstacles in attempting to reach this goal, Monroe's own Mr. Victor Butler is now Dr. Victor Butler. He will be conferred the Doctorate of Education in a formal graduation in August of this year, unless the coronavirus speaks otherwise. A product of Monroe, he was educated in the Ouachita Parish School System, starting at Swayze Elementary and graduating from Richwood High School.
