Bishop Rodney McFarland & Mayor Jamie Mayo

Greetings Citizens of Monroe: And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. - Romans 8:28.

I, Bishop Rodney McFarland, am blessed to have the opportunity to recognize, give thanks, and support Honorable James E. (Jamie) Mayo for re-election. As a loyal supporter, I would like to take this time to express my appreciation to Mayor Mayo for his 25+ years of experience, proven leadership, and great success shown all over the city of Monroe. God leads Mayo, sustains Mayo, and enables Mayo to make our city, not only survive, but to thrive. Thank you, Mayor Mayo, for doing great things not just for yourself, but for others. Without your faithful service, it would not have been possible to achieve what has been accomplished in our city.

Keep moving forward, Mayor Mayo.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. stated, "If you can't fly, then run. If you can't run, then walk. If you can't walk, then crawl."

By all means, keep moving! Moving forward is the best direction for you to go. For it means planning, leading, and succeeding. As you move up and down the hallway in life, trust God. Everything is possible with God on your side. He is all that you need. Keep your body, mind, spirit, and heart in good condition. This is a good way to forward growth in the City of Monroe.

The scripture tells us, "Endeavor to keep the unity of the spirit in the bond of peace." - Ephesians 4:3. How is this possible? Mayor Mayo finds the opportunity to show our youth that he loves them by the things he does. During Mayor Mayo's administration, he has been successful in implementing many programs for our youth. Our Mayor has a heart for the youth facing today's problems. The O.K. Program is saving the youth with the support of The Monroe Police Department's O.K. (Our Kids) male youth mentoring program, in partnership with Real Vision from Real Women and Love & Joy. The S.A.V.E. (Strengthen Advance Value Empower) Program is designed to help at-risk youth through preventive measures and powerful partnerships with local law enforcement, families, schools, businesses, community and faith-based organizations.

On Easter Sunday, April 12, a destructive tornado storm alarmed our city. Even when things seem to go wrong, God is working everything out. Mayor Mayo was there to provide assistance to the victims all day and all night. You are to be commended for your great leadership and your employees, as you all continue to provide meals, food, housing, and hotels to the tornado victims. With God on your side, nothing can be against you. In the end, Jesus will make you a winner, no matter what happens.

Mayor Mayo, the challenge is to keep moving our city to higher heights. Like a runner trained to race, keep running the re-election race that the citizens of Monroe can continue to see your great works. Our God is a great God! We thank Him for our Honorable James E. (Jamie) Mayo, with so much success all being credit to the glory of God. Your joy will continue to grow as you reach your goals. What time is it? Time to get ready and vote #189 – Mayor Jamie Mayo, the best candidate with a proven record!
