Monroe Dispatch - No Struggle, No Progress

Irma DeTiege was a nobody who became somebody. She emerged from the cotton fields of Riverton LA to North 11th St. across the street from Zion Traveler Church in Monroe LA. She was a very poor girl who struggled to success. We celebrate her legacy by honoring deserving students with a scholarship in her memory. Thanks to The Clark Company Properties of Monroe and Odell "Cuz" Jackson who've donated to the Irma DeTiege scholarship.
