On Tuesday morning, March 17, a morning raid of a residence on 8th Street had residents dumbfounded as ATF (Agents Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives) surrounded a home in the Newtown Community. Neighbors and the general public were stunned by the presence of so many U.S. Department of Justice authorities. There was a massive search of the residence in which numerous items from the home were seized. ATF gave no information as to why the residence was raided. Calls to the ATF were made in hopes of receiving information which has not been returned as of press time. The ATF presence was so significant, it gathered the attention of not only neighbors but those who were passing by too.
