On Sunday March 8, 2020, Avenue Baptist Church in Monroe. LA installed Rev. Dr. Morristine Chisley, Sr. as its Senior Pastor. Special guest Rev. Dr. Anthony L. Craig Sr. of Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church in Pine Bluff, AR preached the Word in front of a packed house. Programmed guest included Rev. Jason Cooper, Master of Ceremonies, Old and New Testament Readings completed by Rev. Stonewall Hunter & Rev. Ricky James, Sister Sheila Powell offered the welcome, Sister Martha James delivered the occasion, charge to the church done by Rev. Dr. Joe Harris, charge to the pastor by Rev. Henry Lowry, and prayer of installation completed by Rev. Dr. Michael Reed. A presentation was made by Deacon Craig Smith, along with special tributes by the Honorable Mayor James E. Mayo and City Marshal Wince Highshaw.
