Dr. Saucer Shadows of Tall Oak Trees

A resident of Decatur, Georgia, Bobby Joe Saucer is a retired minister from The Ministers and Missionaries Benefit Board of the American Baptist Churches USA. This former Dean of the Morehouse School of Religion is considered a pioneer in the areas of theological educational program planning, design, implementation, and evaluation. Saucer has implemented numerous educational conferences, internships, and endowments including, a scholarship endowed fund at Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta. His numerous studies include gerontology at Brandeis University, and he holds degrees from Southern University, Colgate Rochester Divinity School, and Andover Newton Theological School. He is the recipient of the Century Award of Excellence as one of Omega's religious leaders for outstanding accomplishments as a graduate professional theological/seminary educator, pastor, denominational executive, designer and implementer of the Gardner C. Taylor Black Seminarian European Internship, 1978-82. He served as keynote speaker, Command Chaplains the 50th Anniversary, the Student Civil Rights Demonstration Protest, Baton, Rouge, LA., and other distinguished awards. Saucer is from Monroe LA and a Carroll High School Graduate.
