Thursday, March 5 at 11 am Starting & Financing a Small Business: Taylor Nelson, marketing and training coordinator at the ULM College of Small Business & Social Sciences, will offer a workshop highlighting simple steps to start your own business.

Saturday, March 7 at 2 pm Book Talk & Signing: Bobby Joe Saucer. He will sign his book Shadows of Tall Oak Trees: Mentors Who Energized My Journey.

*Monday, March 9, 16, & 23 at 10 am *Tuesday, March 10, 17, & 24 at 1 pm Microsoft Word Beginner Class: Learn to create and edit a document. Bring your own laptop.

*Thursday, March 12, 19, & 26 at 1 pm Microsoft Word Intermediate Class: Learn how to add tables, charts, customize formats, and graphics. Bring your own laptop.

Wednesday, March 18 at 11 am Book Talk and Signing: Bertie Simmons. She will discuss and sign her book Whispers of Hope: The Story of My Life, about a young girl born in the deep south during the Jim Crow era.


*Thursday, March 19 at 11 am Preventing Fraud and Identity Theft. Regions Financial Literacy Consultant Ben Westerburg will discuss information on how to protect your personal information, as well as fraudulent bank accounts, credit cards, and utility accounts.

Thursday, March 26 at 11 am River Reads: Sugarcane Production and Farming: LSU AgCenter Agent Carol Pinnell-Alison will discuss how sugarcane is grown, manufactured, and harvested. She will share farmers' preferred traits, constraints, and genetic resources of sugarcane. Sugarcane samples given out.

Saturday, March 28 at 1 pm Book Talk & Signing: Lauren Jackson. She will sign her book, Healing from the Inside Out, On Purpose.
