Life is fragile and should never be taken lightly. Many leave home never knowing if they will return. Everyone is loved by someone or many regardless to status, race or unfortunate situation. According to police reports a shooting took place at a house in the 1900 block of Standifer in Monroe LA where a suspect was shot on Monday February 3. The victim was discovered at a local convenience store apparently trying to get home or to some haven before collapsing. Deputies were notified and arrived to find victim Roderick L. Griffin shot in the abdomen. The victim was transported taken to a local for treatment. Deputies arrested Suspect Derrick White 29 Tuesday February 4, charging him with attempted second-degree murder. The suspect fired a firearm several times at many people in a house on Standifer St. There are three sides to every story. This was one side of this story.
