“LET ME GO”

Copyright 2012 By; "THE PO' FOLK'S POET",

The doctor has left the room, now you are beset with gloom, because he threw his hands in the air

He ran all his tests, emptied his medicine chest, said my train ain’t going nowhere.

Blood pressure done dropped, but this ain’t my last stop, I have one more trip to take

I am about to take a ride, way up in the skies, beyond the outer space.

I was wrapped up within, a suit of flesh, bones and skin, that will turn back to dust when they put it in the ground

My spirit and my soul, is the part that God controls, and I know that it’s heaven bound.

Shed a tear if you must, but one thing you can trust, is that God ain’t did nothing wrong

Sometimes we can forget, that life is only a test, and this world was never my home.

He let you borrow me for a while, now I’ve walked my last mile, with you in this journey called life

I have given you the tools, so that you can make it thru, all the dangers toils and strife.

Now, let me sleep, don’t moan or weep, too long because your tears won’t make flowers grow

I am in good hands, and it is part of His plan, that you have to “LET ME GO”.
