Carolyn Sue Lindsey

Carolyn Sue Lindsey was born October 4, 1955, to the late Richard Mock Sr. and Mary Ola Lindsey (Wyatt). Carolyn accepted Christ and was baptized by Rev. S.J. Scott of True Vine Baptist Church, at an early age. She was a lifelong member of True Vine Baptist Church where she was active in Sunday school, the Senior Choir, Girl Scout leader with Troop 102, and regularly assisted with the mission department, youth events, and True Vine Senior Saints.

Carolyn Sue was a graduate of Carver Elementary School. She then attended Wossman High School where she was a member of the Golden Girls Dance Club and voted "Most Whittiest" by her classmates. After graduation in 1976, she then enrolled in Robinson Business College where she obtained her Business Degree in Business Administration and Accounting.

In 1984, Carolyn begin her 30-year career with Ouachita Parish School Board at Shady Grove Elementary were she retired as a Dietitian Manager. Carolyn enjoyed traveling, spending time with family, especially her grand babies, and most of all serving others as God wants us. Her joyous spirit was infectious, as she made sure that she enjoyed life wherever she was.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Richard Mock Sr., Mary Ola Wyatt and her stepfather, Jewel Kessler Wyatt; her siblings Betty Jean Thornton and Richard Mock Jr.

Her memories will be cherished by her children: Monica Lindsey Maze (Jermaine) Monroe, LA, Boyon Butler, Las Vegas, NV, Sherquanta Butler Elba (Abdul) Houston, TX, Marcus Lindsey Monroe, LA. Siblings: James Thornton Sr. (Renee) Seattle, WA, Patricia Ann Harris (Dan) Oakland, CA, her twin brother-Carl Wayne Lindsey, Vickie Lane Lindsey (Earlnell) Monroe, LA, Wanda Faye Harris (James) Birmingham, AL, Doris Gene Lindsey-Hines Pine-Bluff, AR. Five grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
