Carday Marshall

After much prayer and discussion with my family, friends, and supporters, I, Carday Marshall am announcing my candidacy for the Monroe City Council District 4 seat.

Living in District 4 as a youth and now as an adult raising a family, I am aware of the good and the challenges that our area faces and will work hard to overcome those challenges with the support of the community. I am a graduate of Carroll High School and received a bachelor's degree in Business from the University of Louisiana-Monroe. Like many others, I am a concerned citizen, parent, homeowner, and business owner who is vested in this community, and desires to see positive growth in our community.

My business experience consists of 14 years of serving as Assistant Food Service Director at Grambling State University and currently Residential Manager at the University of Louisiana at Monroe for Aramark. I have gained a wealth of knowledge in leadership, client relationships, problem-solving, and collaborative team-building skills while serving in these roles. As a leader, my success has come from leading respectfully and with integrity.

I am a servant at heart. Currently, I am already working to enhance our community through the guidance and enforcement of our city's policies and codes as the Second Vice Chairman for the Monroe Planning Commission. I also serve as Youth Pastor at Bread of Life Christian Ministries, volunteer\mentor in youth sports, and various projects and drives within our community.

I would like to continue to serve you as your City Councilman for district 4 representative. With a focus on community connectivity, job skill preparation, economic development, infrastructure, crime\safety, home ownership and homelessness, I feel that together, we can take our district and Monroe as a whole to new heights.

Please consider me, Carday Marshall, for the District 4 City Councilman's Chair when you vote. I care about our community, am committed to enhancing it, and capable to serve.
