Monroe Dispatch - No Struggle, No Progress

The DownSouth Sports Magazine Game of the Week Most Valuable Player was West Monroe Quarterback, Lane Little. He helped lead the Rebels to a 21-14 victory over Ruston at West Monroe Don Shows Stadium. Little ended the night perfect through the air, 5-of-5 for 107 yards with a touchdown and ran six times for 42 yards with the rushing score. The win marked West Monroe's 32nd straight win over Ruston, a winning streak dating back to 1991, and the program's 95th consecutive district win. The Rebels have now won 24 consecutive district championships. The DownSouth Sports Magazine MVP award is sponsored by The Monroe Dispatch and Aubrey's Graphic Designs.
