October 31, 2019

Love thy neighbor as thy self. Entering the presence of God means to cultivate a deliberate awareness of the reality and nearness of God. Another neighborhood experienced fear of helplessness when shots rang unexpected without warning while not being able to pray. Shock and fear ran through the neighborhood as alleged suspect Bileejah A. Riley fired shots at a victim striking the victim. According to police reports on Monday October 28, a fight occurred between the suspect and the victim. The suspect returned to a residence on Betty Dr. armed shooting the victim standing in their yard. The victim was armed shooting at the suspect when a round hit an unsuspected victim inside their home on another street. Both victims were transported to the hospital and will live to see another day, but the memory of October 28, 2019 will forever linger in the victims' mind. We live in perilous times, where when you hear shots, you'd better seek cover. No neighborhood is immune from violence these days. Incidents of violence happened at the least likely times, beware. Don't take Grace and Mercy lightly! The suspect was booked and charged with attempted 2nd degree murder. There are three sides to every story. This was one side of this story. The Monroe Dispatch welcomes another or the other side of this story.
